A mosaic of emotive piano keys, physical percussion, buzzing analog synths, and expansive vocals, RHYE find humanity in musicality. Shrouded in mystery, the group first surfaced setting the Internet abuzz with ambiguous imagery, sophisticatedly sensual music videos, and that distinctive falsetto. Following the runaway online success of two initial singles, the critically acclaimed debut album Woman (Loma Vista Recordings) was released in 2013 and lauded by critics from Pitchfork ("Best New Album") to The Guardian to New York Times.

Gifted songwriting, breathtaking vocals and deft instrumental arrangements combine to create an intoxicating blend of R&B influenced, deeply emotive music making the album a staple for provoking intimate moments.

Since the release of Woman, RHYE has relentlessly toured to establish a devoted global fanbase and enrapture crowds in theaters and at festivals worldwide including riveting sets at Coachella and Pitchfork Paris amongst many others.

Originally a duo conceived in the studio, RHYE has transformed into a collective led by vocalist and producer Milosh and elevated by a cast of accomplished multi-instrumentalists. As the band began writing new material, the expansive live show indelibly impacted the music for their second full-length album Blood, due for release February 2nd, 2018, resulting in a warmer, more organic sound. It's a new beginning and a new musical experience. It's RHYE.
SASAMI
SASAMI
SASAMI (Sasami Ashworth) has been making music in the Los Angeles area, in almost every way you can, for the last decade. From playing french horn in orchestras and studios, to playing keys and guitar in local rock bands (Dirt Dress, Cherry Glazerr), to contributing vocals/string/horn arrangements to studio albums (Avi Buffalo, Curtis Harding, Wild Nothing, Hand Habits etc.) and producing tracks for other respected artists (Soko), she has gained a reputation as an all-around musical badass.
After graduating from the Eastman School of music in 2012, SASAMI spent her time scoring and making orchestral arrangements for films, commercials and studio albums, as well as being a deeply committed music teacher in Los Angeles. She spent the last two and half years as a so-called “Synth Queen,” touring the world non-stop and making records in the band Cherry Glazerr (on Secretly Canadian) and is taking a turn this year to put out her long anticipated solo album soon.
