Hailing from Dallas, Texas, Nocturne exploded onto the industrial music scene in 1999 with the release of "Twilight", their debut album (released by Triple X Records--the L.A. based label most famous for releasing Jane's Addition's debut album). Nocturne is made up of two core members: the alluring front-woman and founder, Lacey Conner, as well as guitarist / programmer Chris Telkes. Nocturne's live shows, however, have always comprised a variety of different live members, which usually consist of four total performers on stage.

Nocturne's sexy and energetic live shows have been seen by fans across the country. In addition to the band's three successful headlining tours, Nocturne has also been seen sharing the stage with the likes of Ministry, Pigface, Thrill Kill Kult, Ohgr (the side project of the singer of Skinny Puppy), the Genitorturers, and Godhead. In addition, the band just recently returned home from "The Demon Machine 2003 tour", with the band Bile, from New York City. Nocturne is currently preparing to embark on a U.S. tour scheduled for this coming fall, with the legendary metal icon, King Diamond. The death metal band, Entombed, from Sweden, will also be on the bill of this tour.

Nocturne has won multiple best band awards, as well as Conner's "Best Vocalist in Dallas" award in 2001, and has also earned spots on the big screen. Two independent horror films: "The Attic Expeditions", starring Seth Green (Austin Powers, The Italian Job), and "Wishcraft" feature tracks by Nocturne.

Last year (2002), Nocturne joined forces with the Chicago-based record label, Invisible Records / Underground Inc--who's owner, Martin Atkins, has worked with or performed with the likes of Nine Inch Nails, Skinny Puppy, Ministry, Gravity Kills, Public Image Ltd., and Pigface. Nocturne's CD "Paradise Wasted" was released through this label in August of 2002, and the follow up remix album, entitled "Axis Of Evil: Mixes of Mass Destruction" (featuring remixes by past and present members of KMFDM, Pigface, Dope, Bile, and Nitzer Ebb), was released in May of this year (2003).

In the spring of 2003, Lacey Conner of Nocturne was invited to sing on the Pigface CD, "Easy Listening", and joined Pigface on tour as well, as one of the vocalists. Besides Lacey Conner, past and present members of Pigface include, of course, Martin Atkins, as well as Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, Chris Connelly of Ministry and the Revolting Cocks, Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Greta of Moby, Groovie Mann and Charles Levi of Thrill Kill Kult, Krztoff of Bile, Seibold of Hate Dept., Fallon of Kittie, and many, many others.

At this time, Lacey Conner and Chris Telkes are in the studio, writing and recording for a new album, which will be released in the summer of 2004.

"Nocturne's second release "Paradise Wasted" is just the sort of album that should satisfy the current generation of crossover metal loving kids. With a sexy femme fatale at the helm and two androgynous males holding up the rear, the threesome pump out some heavy and hard sounds…If you like your women sexy, loud, and aggressive, and you like your music hard, grinding, and intense, you'll want to return to Nocturne's "Paradise Wasted" again and again."
